Friday, March 27: Workshop "Dive Medicine, Education, and Dive Safety: What All Divers Should Know" (Secaucus, NJ)

This years Dive Medicine Workshop at BTS will bring four national leaders in dive medicine, dive education and dive safety.

You will learn about:

  • Otic Barotrauma by David Charash, D.O.
  • Pros and Cons of Warm Water vs Cold Water Training by Bernie Chowdhury
  • In-Water Recompression by Joe Ditiru from IANDT
  • What Medications Are Safe for Divers by Marty McCafferty from DAN

At the conclusion of the lectures, there will be an interactive panel discussion with the speakers. 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Category One Credits are available through Western Connecticut Health Network, Danbury Hospital, Danbury CT. Registration fee includes lunch and entry to the Friday exhibit hall and Tech Wreck Party.

Saturday, March 28: Preparing for that Epic Dive (Secaucus, NJ)

Don't waste time and money due to being ill prepared on your dive trip of a lifetime! Dr. David Charash will be giving an overview of the preparations he made for his epic dive on Mission 31 with third generation ocean explorer, Fabien Cousteau. He will be presenting his underwater video of the dive as well as his interview with Fabien Cousteau aboard Aquarius Reef Base during Mission 31. His talk will be followed immediately by Jean -MIchel Cousteau.
